Overview

Mandatory Building Codes adopted for current use in South Carolina and which must be enforced by all municipalities and counties, effective January 1, 2020, include the:

• 2018 International Building Code with SC modifications. S.C. Code Ann. Regs 8-800 (amendments).
• 2018 International Residential Code with SC modifications. S.C. Code Ann. Regs 8-1200 (amendments).

Residential Building Code
